About British Columbia, Alberta and the Yukon Territory

British Columbia is the westernmost province of Canada that is located between the Pacific Ocean and the Rocky Mountains. The economy of the province is diverse with majority of service-producing industries accounting for the largest portion of the GDP.

Alberta is the western province of Canada that is bounded by the provinces of British Columbia to the west and Saskatchewan to the east, the Northwest Territories to the north, and the U.S state of Montana to the south. Alberta is one of three Canadian provinces and territories to border only a single U.S. state and one of only two landlocked provinces.

The Yukon Territory or Yukon is the smallest and westernmost of Canada's three federal territories, the other two are the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Yukon was split from the Northwest Territories in 1898 and was originally named the Yukon Territory.
