Where is Lake Wisconsin?
Lake Wisconsin located in southern Wisconsin in the United States is a reservoir on the Wisconsin River. It lies in Columbia and Sauk counties, approx 5 mi (8 km) southeast of Baraboo and 25 mi (40 km) NNW of Madison. The lake was made by the construction of a dam at Prairie du Sac, which was completed in 1914. This is a part of the Wisconsin River system of reservoirs.
The surface area of Lake Wisconsin is 9,500 acres (3,800 ha) and the surface elevation is about 774 ft (236 m). Its maximum depth is 24 ft (7.3 m).
