      The southernmost city in the contiguous United States, Key West, is an island located in the Straits of Florida. It is the seat of Monroe County and contains all the coral cay archipelago known as the Florida Keys.

      The city boundary encompasses all islands in the Key West archipelago and some nearby islands. Sigsbee Park, Fleming Key, Sunset Key and Stock Islands are marked prominently on the inset. Duval Street, the main route of the city can be seen crossing from the Gulf of Mexico to the Straits of Florida and the Atlantic Ocean.

      Melbourne lies in Brevard County and is the principal city of Palm Bay-Melbourne-Titusville metropolitan area.
