Bird’s Eye View Map Poster of Ottawa

This poster is a bird’s eye view of the city of Ottawa from 1876, nine years after it became the capital of what was then known as the Dominion of Canada on July 1, 1867. You can view the Ottawa River that flows from right to left and cuts through the center of the picture separating the City of Hull (since renamed Gatineau) from the City of Ottawa.

A small inset in the bottom displays the buildings, housing the Parliament of Canada. These sit on a limestone promontory that sticks out boldly into the Ottawa River. You can display this map poster elegantly in your homes and offices.
